WHAT WE DO
The Black Earth Companies focuses its development activities in the commercial, industrial, and hospitality markets, primarily in the Midwest. We are primarily a green-field developer, and have built Class A office buildings, a high quality hotel, and are currently developing a 200 acre rail served industrial park; and a 41 acre mixed use commercial city “gateway” project.
The Black Earth Companies are a group of companies established to bring a complete package to the development process, including development operations and asset management. We are relationship driven, bringing strategic partnerships into each project we do. These partnerships are not only for financial resources when appropriate, but more importantly by combining our knowledge and expertise with them we enhance our opportunity for success. In the development process Black Earth focuses on and brings particular expertise to the management side, including business plans; financial modeling and pro-formas; feasibility analyses; partnership legal structures and operating agreements; accountability procedures; contracts; project accountability; overseeing contractors and the bidding process; and project due-diligence.
